How Much Does It Cost to Rent an Event Space in Orange County?

If you're planning a corporate offsite, a milestone birthday, or a celebration of life in Orange County, one of the first questions you'll run into is simple: what's this actually going to cost?

The honest answer is: it depends on your guest count, how many hours you need, and how much you want included. But to give you a real starting point — event space rental in Orange County typically runs anywhere from $1,000 for a small corporate gathering to $6,500 for a full-service private party on a holiday weekend. Here's how that breaks down.

What Actually Drives the Price

Three factors move the number more than anything else:

  • Guest count. A 50-person meeting costs less to host than a 175-person celebration, simply because of space, staffing, and setup.

  • Hours booked. Most venues price in blocks (3-5 hours is typical). Going over costs extra — at our venue, it's a flat $200/hour overtime rate.

  • What's included. The biggest swing in price isn't the venue itself — it's whether tables, chairs, AV equipment, and an event planner are bundled in, or whether you're sourcing those separately.

A Real Package Breakdown

At So Cal Classic Car Venue in Laguna Hills, we built our pricing around this exact logic — smaller, simpler bookings cost less, and full-service packages cost more because they save you the work of coordinating vendors yourself.

Corporate Events (50 guests, 3-5 hours)

  • Tesla — $1,000: lounge/lobby rental only, perfect for small meetings

  • Audi — $1,750: rental plus AV and seating, made for presentations

  • BMW — $2,750: everything in Audi, plus a docent tour — great for corporate offsites

Private Parties (up to 175 guests, 4-5 hours)

  • Corvette — from $2,500: venue-rental only, great for customization

  • Porsche — from $3,500: adds tables, chairs, and AV for larger parties

  • Ferrari — from $5,000: all amenities included, plus a dedicated staff event planner

Weekend and holiday dates run higher than weekday bookings across the board, and a $500 deposit is standard to hold your date.

The Piece Most People Forget to Budget For

Venue rental is rarely the whole cost of an event — catering, a bartender, linens, and a dance floor are usually separate line items no matter which venue you book with. Worth asking any venue upfront: what's actually included versus what you'll need to bring in yourself? At our venue, outside catering and bartending are welcome except on our top-tier packages, where they're included and handled for you.

How to Actually Choose

If you're mostly deciding based on budget, start with your guest count and how much you want to coordinate yourself. A 50-person team offsite doesn't need the same package as a 150-person milestone birthday — and most venues, ours included, will walk you through which tier actually fits before you commit to anything.
